Under general supervision, develops, tests and maintains application software used in advanced antenna and telemetry systems. DUTIES AND REPONSIBILTIES: Creates and maintains new application software. Develops documentation and procedures for software installation and maintenance. Customize software to suit customer specifications. Tests and debugs software. Tests and integrates software with hardware. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: BSCS, BSEE or higher technical degree preferred. Minimum three years experience in object-oriented design and implementation, embedded systems programming and real-time operating systems, a minimum 2 years developing Linux-based applications and drivers. Fluent in C/C++ with working knowledge of languages such as Visual Basic, Java, MatLab, and/or LabView a plus. Experience with developing graphical user interfaces using cross-platform development tools such as QT is advantageous. Hardware/software integration experience including the use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers. Experience with motion control, servo systems, and CAN Bus preferred. Experience with RF, telemetry or antenna systems a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form. Strong PC hardware and software knowledge. Potential for domestic or foreign travel.
