JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Cloud and Infrastructure Operations (C&IO) is responsible for ongoing operational management of the Sarah Canon on-premise and cloud IT systems. The manager is responsible for leading and motivating a team of highly-specialized engineers supporting these critical systems, prioritizing operational and project work efforts, and overseeing the design and implementation solutions to support the business objectives of Sarah Cannon. These systems support applications in the cancer care and research space, and therefore must meet the highest standards for availability and security; downtime would result in use of IT systems in hospitals and research centers across the company coming to a halt, and failures in security could result in major data breaches and/or regulatory compliance failures. An effective candidate will combine strong skills in technology, customer service and innovation to provide value to our business and IT customers. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for technical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities of the C&IO team Maintains strong relationships with HCA corporate ITG team and other key stakeholders Responsible for leading the deployment of new IT solutions to the cloud and migrating certain on-premise solutions to the cloud Provide thought leadership on how best to optimize cloud and on-premise solutions Provide thought leadership on how to use innovation and new technologies to further the goals of Sarah Cannon Meets with Sarah Cannon leadership teams, as needed, to align strategy, services, and coordinate implementation activities Responsible for personnel management, performance reviews, competency development, and coaching of C&IO resources Builds and maintains relationships with business operations, IT&S leaders, and vendors Participates in resource planning and allocates resources to meet goals of the C&IO area, ITG goals and business priorities Organizes, plans, assigns, and monitors completion of work Participates in the development of corporate and Sarah Cannon technical standards, policies, and procedures as appropriate Ensures that the design and use of technology adhere to established Sarah Cannon and HCA policies, procedures, and standards Establishes and manages internal service level agreements and ensures external service level agreements with vendors are met Assists the director in the development of the budget and develops project cost estimates for Sarah Cannon Ensures that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of technical incidents and requests Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement within the area and across organizational boundaries Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance Participates in activities to improve departmental and organizational performance Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned Implements, monitors, and supports servers and storage environments for all centralized division equipment. Provides operational applications support. Ensures that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of software/hardware problems (infrastructure, desktop, storage environments, etc.). Supports the ongoing maintenance of servers and storage devices by ensuring (1) up-to-date software releases, (2) maintenance of back-ups, (3) maintenance of DR plan and testing. Provides 24x7 on-call support in troubleshooting, coordinating, escalating to ensure the recovery of failed components or equipment. Develops and maintains procedures for equipment installation and configuration support. Provides innovative ideas and approaches that improve availability of Sarah Cannon systems. Coordinates the sharing of best practice models, and policies & procedures related to server administration. Participates in activities to improve departmental and organizational performance. Implements, monitors, and supports network and security environment for all centralized division and facility equipment. Ensures that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of problems related to circuits, switches, and overall network performance. Supports the ongoing maintenance of network and security devices by ensuring (1) up-to-date software releases, (2) maintenance of configurations, (3) maintenance of DR plan and testing. Maintains and supports division and facility level server and storage area network environments. Works Closely with RDC Staff to support division systems or equipment physically located at the RDC. EXPERIENCE: 7 years of experience are needed for a successful candidate. EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree is required. OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Experience deploying and supporting Cloud systems/applications preferred Prior experience with MS Azure and/or Amazon AWS deployments preferred Experience with DevOps tools and processes preferred Relevant technical certifications a plus 5-7 years of experience in area of specialization, with at least 3 years' experience as a systems or network administrator in an IT environment.
