Careers are a Journey…Come Ride with Us The lead auditor at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company directs and manages operational and financial audits at our world headquarters and/or field locations. This position will plan audits, lead audit teams, and establish standards and procedures for the inspection and appraisal of financial and operational processes and controls. This role typically requires a thorough knowledge of the organization's audit systems, as well as experience in audit practices. Job Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to staff in the quality execution of audits within established guidelines Perform risk assessments for each audit engagement to determine the scope and approach of testing procedures to be performed to achieve audit objectives Review audit testing documentation, ensuring proper adherence to auditing standards Prepare reports for audit director and senior management. Demonstrate thought leadership by asking insightful questions, providing solutions-oriented perspective, and communicating thoughts effectively Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high energy through process excellence, teamwork and positive Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration 7 or more years of relevant experience in internal audit, public accounting or corporate accounting and finance roles Strong working experience assessing risks and evaluating internal controls Proven analytical and problem solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Strong project management skills and ability to multitask effectively Well versed in the principles of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404 Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and international) Preferred Qualifications: Capable in the use of analytical and data visualization tools Working knowledge of SAP MBA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CMA Cooper Tire is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
