Information Technology Analyst - TS/SCI required

Job Description GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of analytical tasks, which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment to provide mission support at Wright Army Airfield Troubleshoot and provide technical support and solutions to users Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative Approaches Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives Skills / Experience: Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices Provide Tier I and II support of Network issues, trouble calls and incidents Perform initial troubleshooting, diagnosis and capture of incident information Determine when TIER III resources needed and if necessary, coordinate for action Oversee & track the maintenance schedule to ensure completion and minimize downtime Provide advice, training and initial basic troubleshooting to end users Troubleshoot and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance Compile reports of outages, trends and analysis of pertinent health information of IT Systems Set up administrator and service accounts and maintain system documentation Monitor and report alarms, work with TIER III Engineers for corrective actions Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and Applications Security Clearance: TS/SCI required Additional: Shift work/on call work will be REQUIRED Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract Education High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years of experience Qualifications High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years of experience For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
