We are looking for a visionarysoftware engineering leader who is interested in leading, designing,developing, and fielding advanced software solutions that innovate and havedirect impact to Patients and Medical Devices. The role requires an in-depthknowledge of existing advanced software engineering practices and approachesincluding Software as a Service, DevOps, Robotics, Virtual Reality, BigData/Visualization and Multi-Cloud. The ability to influence and convinceothers, leadership and creativity to invent, customize and work in amultidisciplinary environment to drive business solutions. Youll work among high performingengineering, design and product teams. The new Director must bring strongthought leadership around devops, software architecture, design and strategyexperience while seeking out opportunities for simplification, and capabilityenablement; Finally, the ability to collaborate and influence other leaders andthe team. SpecificResponsibilities: Director Digital Surgery SoftwareArchitecture for MD will have end-to-end global responsibility for creating andaligning a Digital Surgery Software Architecture with strategic business intentand establishing the technology capabilities for Enterprise-level businesssolutions Provides software architecturedirection and guidance; ensures alignment with best of breed open source technologies;Drives consistency and quality of the Architecture artifacts Guidance provided to SoftwareArchitects to develop project level requirements and establish compliance withsoftware architecture, enterprise and functional area strategic roadmaps Establishmentof software interoperability across functional domains Alignment with internal teams toverify budget and resource commitment to support roadmaps (via architecturedependencies and prioritization) Qualifications M.S. or M.A. in Computer Science,Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree. A minimum of 10years experience in Hands-on Agile software design and architectureexperience. Provenexperience in devops best practices in consulting, solution development,architecture and delivery. Thisincludes proven success in roles within an enterprise software firm or Big 4Consulting leading and supporting teams that services clients. We are looking for a SoftwareArchitect with a broad understanding of Digital Technology and how it can be appliedto move our healthcare solutions forward. Candidates should possess deepknowledge across technologies and have a strong hands-on background in softwareengineering, Deep Knowledgein software design & development in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, etc.)platform, Internet of Things, MicroServices/SOA, Streaming Technologies,Integration Patterns and Open Source Software. Experience leading asoftware team to design and develop sophisticated software. Expert knowledge ofsoftware developement patterns and utility frameworks Experienced withdesign, build, deployment, and configuration management systems forheterogeneous, multi-platform software. Must have expert-level skills withsoftware development tools (Devops, CM, bug tracking, source control etc.)and development process. Hands-on knowledgeof software development in data streaming frameworks(Spark, Flink, Kafka,Samza), Big Data Stores(Casandra, Redshift, Impala, Biquery etc. Must be adept athandling complexity and ambiguity. Must be skilled in developing strongcross-functional partnerships.- Experience with leading multi-company teams and globalefforts are preferred. Previous people management experience is preferred.
