URGENTLY HIRING Our client is seeking to add one Software Engineer to their ATLAS team to create the next cutting edge Electronic Warfare radar system. This person will be involved development of operator interfaces (GUIs). This product is in the initial phase of delivering a prototype to the US Navy that is due in January. Pending that delivery goes well this program will turn into a $500 Million plus program and be required to go on all 50 US Navy Submarines. ATLAS Program Details (2 Features): Feature 1: As a submarine surfaces they will use this system to see what radars are in the area that could potentially detect them and cause harm Features 2: Once its identified they are safe to surface this equipment then captures enemy RF signals for reconnaissance missions Duties and Responsibilities Define requirements for the User Interface on the technology (10%) Develop operator interfaces for system use including advanced signal analysis with an emphasis on visualization and improvement of operator efficiency (65%) Testing and troubleshooting own code with Unit testing (25%) Required: Bachelor's in Engineering 1 project where they had to work with a customer to define a requirement for a GUI, program the GUI in either C++ or Java, and deliver a working product (if in C++ its preferred they have use Qt, if in Java its preferred they use JavaFX) Experience using Linux (ability to change directories at the command line using bash scripts) Willing to travel occasionally within Continental United States (CONUS) Eligible for US Secret Clearance Desired: Familiarity with configuration management tools, specifically SVN and GIT Knowledge of and experience designing Human Machine Interfaces using Qt Knowledge of multi-threaded application programming Knowledge of socket level programming Knowledge of and experience with middleware software such as OMG Data Distribution Service (DDS), Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP), ZeroMQ, Java Message Service (JMS) First Day: - This person will need to know how to design a GUI taking into consideration Human Factors. Progeny will teach the exact system to them and how it should be used but they are very open to a C++ or Java person as long as they can show they have delivered a working GUI in the past.
