Duties:
- Partner with C-suite, corporate strategy, finance, marketing, merchandising, research, product, data science, and analytics organizations to drive outcomes and influence strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Identify, collect, and explore large amounts of data used for predictive modeling and algorithm development while performing developments using statistical and modeling techniques.
- Develop and implement quantitative analyses, predictive models, and customer KPIs to uncover insights on the customer journey and identify cause-effect relationships between business actions and customer outcomes.
- Identify high value customer actions across Walmart products/services that will help Walmart meet customer needs.
- Evaluate behaviors and actions that unlock incremental value by leveraging causal analysis methodologies.
- Translate and simplify data-informed insights into actionable business recommendations, implications, and relevant data products.
- Develop visualizations and presentations to clearly and effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Partner with data and technical engineers to define data and tracking requirements.
Minimum education and experience required:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field;
- OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required:
- Experience with complex data processing and manipulating using SQL.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization using R and Python.
- Experience analyzing customer behavior using statistical models, causal inference, and supervised/unsupervised learning methods.
- Experience creating compelling visualizations and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
- Experience designing and developing processes and frameworks for analytical projects.
- Experience creating predictive models and customer KPIs/metrics to uncover insights on the customer journey.
- Experience developing measurement and automation reporting and dashboards for customer cohort metrics.
- Experience designing A/B tests to identify drivers of customer behavior and using statistical methods to analyze results.
- Experience working with large amounts of data in a cloud environment.
- Experience delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to support customer-centric decision-making processes.
- Experience collaborating with data and technical engineers to scope and define data needs for projects.
