As a lead Redis database administrator (DBA) in the Enterprise Database Services Organization, you’ll help drive the growth and expansion of our Redis platform, ensuring its successful integration and adoption across the enterprise. In this role, you'll design, implement, and manage Redis database solutions for our customers. You’ll lead customer consultations, onboard applications, and ensure seamless integration from start to finish. Additionally you'll deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. This position will require participation in off-hours scheduled work and an on-call rotation. 

This is a remote position for US based work only.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering) and a minimum six years of related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS.
  • In lieu of degree, a minimum of eight years related work experience with database application development, database administration, and/or operating system administration with RDBMS may be accepted.

Preferred skills 

  • Proven experience as a Redis DBA with a strong track record of successful project delivery including a deep understanding of Redis architecture, including clustering, replication, and sharding. Also, the ability to onboard applications onto Redis, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal performance.
  • Proficient with configuration management, automation, and orchestration and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps, Lambdas, and Azure functions)
  • Experience creating best practices for database operations along with developing and evaluating database infrastructure performance criteria and measurement methods for NoSQL databases. 
  • Extensive experience running Redis in both private and public cloud environments, specifically Azure and AWS via Azure Cach utilizing Redis Cloud or cloud provider native deployments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer consultations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their database needs and provide expert guidance on Redis solutions. 

Compensation 

  • $128,000 - $150,100/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment of up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
