Job Description

Under minimal supervision the Sales Analyst will be responsible for analyzing our business to identify opportunities for growth or cost savings. Assist with business, sales, marketing, and budgeting processes by preparing and updating reports to business unit leaders.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical models, trend analysis and KPI dashboards to measure ROI of services, business, marketing and sales initiatives, and identify opportunities to bring new services and concepts to market
  • Ensure continuous user involvement in the analysis, development and implementation of reporting tools through organization of meetings and working with business unit leaders
  • Conduct analysis of business workflows and business models and make recommendations for greater efficiency and profitability
  • Prepare, update, and analyze budget reports for the division during semi-annual budgeting process to determine trends and business opportunities
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports and insights into changing patterns with an understanding of business initiatives that may be driving the changes
  • Use statistical analysis of installed base to form the best strategy for deployment of services
  • Lead the management of our customer equipment master data, ensuring data maintains the highest level of integrity, validating and alerting team to issues
  • Act as a primary IT contact/interface to the business for recommending and implementing enterprise reports and enhancements
  • Develop insightful, easy to understand methods for measuring customer satisfaction as it relates to the Automation industry.
  • Prepare and present financial presentations as needed
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and unique projects that deliver value
  • Create and maintain reporting documentation and user guides
  • Perform other job functions as assigned

  • 5-10% travel - within the Americas

Essential Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree is required, computer science, statistics, engineering information systems, or business discipline is preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of data analysis experience in a sales or service capacity with the ability to dig deep into the metrics to solve problems or identify opportunities for new services or analytics reporting
  • Requires strong knowledge of sales and service functions and associated processes including developing effective customer and product capture strategies, customer relationship management, and customer decision-making processes
  • Experience contributing to, understanding and documenting business analysis artifacts such as process and system flow diagrams and data modeling tools
  • Prior experience with the following software is required: SQL, SQL Server, MySQL or similar RDBMS
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel experience needed; pivot tables, macro's, VLOOKUP ect.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access for large statistical data analytics
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills is required
  • Appropriate judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to actively manage competing deliverables to meet business commitments

  • An understanding and curiosity about rapidly evolving Service, Sales & Marketing technologies (e.g., digital marketing, social media, CRM, business intelligence, cloud computing

  • Winshuttle Analytics, PowerPivot, SiteCore, Crystal Reports, BO/BI, Microsoft Project
  • Experience prospecting, targeting, qualifying and selling, whether over the phone or in person
  • Experience with CRM tools (ie Salesforce, SAP CRM)
  • Strong skillsets in education and background for the Automation industry (CNC and Industrial Automation) to develop strategic plans and forecast for growth

Product Knowledge/Application experience with some or all of the following:

  • CNC
  • PLC's, HMI's, software, and network interfaces
  • Motion Control (Servo)
  • VFD (Inverters)
  • Robots
