The Workforce Management Manager will serve as lead analyst on a variety analytical projects and strategy initiatives, including developing new and/or refining existing workload methodology, building optimization models for long-term staffing decisions, and leading cross-functional teams on key strategic initiatives for the department. Consult with Operations, Line of Business (LOB) leaders and other partners as a subject matter expert on forecasting, workload, staffing and scheduling; influencing outcomes as needed. Partner with Operations, LOB leaders, Workforce Management, Finance and Revenue Management to proactively identify and address opportunities to improve labor efficiency, guest service and forecast accuracy. Work with IT and Workforce Management partners to pilot, estimate savings, and build models and tools that provide operations efficiency and optimizes our labor resources.

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or similar field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or similar field
  • Previous Workforce Management or Industrial Engineering experience, especially in Forecasting or Workload
  • Expertise in SAS, R, Python
  • Knowledge of Workforce Management processes and tools
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of Cast and leaders to achieve project objectives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis methods and real-world application
  • Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., SAS, Tableau) and Microsoft suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Project)
  • Ability to learn new technical skills and quickly apply knowledge
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationships with partners, clients, and peers
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem solving
  • Demonstrates leadership, influence, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Develop/refine Workforce Management methodologies to improve transaction forecasting, optimize workload against desired guest service targets, develop appropriate analytical models for various staffing situations, and considering consistent approaches across all LOBs. Work with a variety of partners to implement new methodologies.
  • Analyze existing performance of scheduling algorithms and develop other scheduling approaches to compare against.
  • Document current state processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop a 1-2 year roadmap of transitioning from current state to a future vision.
  • Implement projects designed to streamline and simplify existing tools and analyses.
  • Develop tools to help measure effectiveness of transaction forecasting, workload development, and staffing optimization, including use of Excel, Visual Basic, SAS, Tableau, R and/or Python.
  • Project manage strategic initiative efforts. Includes performing analysis, development of recommendations, gaining senior leader approval and assisting with implementation efforts.
