Valencia College is seeking a strategic and dedicated leader for the Vice President of Analytics and Planning position. This new key role will provide leadership for analysis and data management in support of institutional innovation and decision-making. This position will also contribute to and support development and implementation of the college planning processes.  The Vice President of Analytics and Planning will report directly to the Valencia's Executive Vice President and serve as a member of the President's Senior Team.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance for institutional research, institutional effectiveness, and institutional assessment, as well as state and federal reporting and regional accreditation processes.  In addition to supporting the evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative, qualitative, and historical data, you will also be responsible for translating data and analysis into insights and narratives, as well as communicating findings both orally and in writing in a way that is easily understood throughout the college to support decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education and experience commensurate to a doctorate from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Have significant insight into the academic enterprise and the use of data and analytics to shape institutional performance, with a focus on high-access colleges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience appropriate to a senior leadership role.
  • Experience with regional accreditation, strategic planning, and institutional research in higher education preferred.
  • Have competence with common tools used in management and analysis of data.
  • Demonstrate commitment to equity and inclusion.
