Job Description

This role will support forecasting related processes for developing monthly forecasts and data-driven insights for Walt Disney World (WDW) Food & Beverage (F&B) revenue. Responsibilities include delivering guest-driven analytics, data mining/visualization, and partnering with key business teams. A qualified candidate will have a natural curiosity to proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate business performance using data-driven insights.

This position reports to a Sr. Manager-Forecasting.

Responsibilities

Analytics and Measurement

  • Support development of WDW Food & Beverage revenue long-term monthly forecasts and annual operating plan
  • Develop deep understanding of guest demographics, behavior, purchasing, and redemption patterns to deliver insights and make improvements in predictive forecasting models
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to identify, evaluate, and communicate business trends and key metrics
  • Analyze large data sets by leveraging SAS, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects

Insights and Strategic Decision Making

  • Translate business performance drivers and metrics into insightful analyses and recommendations
  • Partner with stakeholders across various functional teams such as Food & Beverage Planning, Pricing, Finance, Operations, etc., to influence decision-making
  • Understand and evaluate new business initiatives to provide strategic direction for the business

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of statistical or financial analysis and/or strategy development experience
  • Demonstrated exceptional analytical skills in financial forecasting and statistical analysis and strong communication skills in developing fact-based insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated technical ability to leverage data using spreadsheets and databases and open to learning new visualization and statistical analysis software
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a positive demeanor under tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated exceptional sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts forecasting and planning processes
  • Expert in Excel with working knowledge of VBA
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAS, Teradata, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
