Job Description

The Planning & Forecasting team is responsible for evaluating internal and external data to support the strategic direction and revenue growth of Walt Disney World (WDW). This role will lead the team consolidating reporting, forecasting, and planning processes for Walt Disney World key revenue drivers. The team partners with key players across Finance/Revenue Management & Analytics (RM&A), Commercial, Consumer Insight-Measure & Analytics (CIMA), and Operations to proactively evaluate business performance metrics.

The successful candidate will have strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills. Other key capabilities include influencing, determining critical performance factors, a natural curiosity to understand "why" performance is favorable or unfavorable, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This position will report to the Director-Domestic Planning and will have five direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting and Communication
  • Lead the team responsible for consolidating reporting, forecasting, and planning, leveraging a keen attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate timely and accurate information to partners in support of Commercial business updates, quarterly earnings reports, and other senior leadership presentations.
  • Improve reporting processes and develop new reports/dashboards to support executive decision-making using Excel, SAS, Tableau, and other data analysis/visualization tools.
  • Insights and Strategic Decision Making
  • Translate business performance data into insightful analysis, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders within RM&A, Finance, Consumer Insights, etc., to provide actionable insights and influence business decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years of experience in financial/quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to develop convincing analyses/presentations that articulate a compelling story
  • Exceptional partnering skills and the ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated exceptional sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact
  • Experience managing direct reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WDW forecasting/reporting processes
  • Knowledge of WDW financial processes/systems
  • Experience with multiple reporting and data visualization tools

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
