Job Description

The successful candidate will excel in supporting the technical requirements of the Engineering Group and will be responsible for writing test plans and executing test procedures in a quick reaction, engineering oriented environment. The Test Engineer will work with the systems design and development team to create test plans, resolve testing issues, troubleshoot and ensure conformance of products to specifications.

Responsibilities will include though not limited to the following:

  • Work with developers to create and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test procedures, test vectors, and defect reports
  • Execute tests and report on testing status, including metrics on defects and testing progress
  • Perform tasks in support of the development of our real-time embedded communication devices and other systems
  • Implement and roll out test plans
  • Assist in developing and improving testing methodologies, tools
  • Builds and maintains solid working relationships with internal customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • At least 2 years of formal test experience of embedded communication systems
  • At least 2 years of lab experience debugging, analyzing and verifying products meet functional and performance requirements.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active SECRET or above U.S. Government security clearance
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket and add-ons such as Xray test management tools
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer)
  • Experience with testing of RF communication circuits
  • Ability to automate test procedures and data analysis activities
