Job Description

The Forecasting and Planning team leverages deep understanding of Guest demographics and behaviors to support the strategic direction and key projects of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who will deliver accurate monthly forecasts and data-driven insights for Attendance and Admissions Revenue and articulate recommendations that will help drive revenue growth and improve the Guest experience. The ideal candidate should be a solution oriented self-starter with superior analytical skills, who can leverage a highly complex data set and extract key learning. The candidate should have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Analytics and Measurement:

  • Create Walt Disney World long-term monthly forecasts and annual operating plan
  • Develop deep understanding of Guest demographics, purchasing patterns, and behaviors to deliver insights
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to identify, evaluate, and communicate business trends and key metrics
  • Analyze large data sets by leveraging SQL, SAS, Business Objects, and other data mining tools
  • Identify and apply best practices in the field of advanced analytics (statistics, data mining, visualization, etc…)

Insights and Strategic Decision Making:

  • Translate business performance drivers and metrics into insightful analysis and recommendations
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders such as Pricing, Consumer Insight, Finance, Marketing, etc. to influence business decisions
  • Transition to new forecasting methods that deliver more actionable insights into the business
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently in a fast paced environment

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of related work experience
  • Strong mathematical and strategic thinking skills
  • Proven ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Data mining/visualization software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of WDP&R hotels and theme parks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAS, Tableau, and Business Objects
  • Applied experience in applications of advanced analytics and data visualization

Required Education

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative field.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent.
