Job Description

The Revenue Planning & Forecasting team leverages deep understanding of Guest demographics and behaviors to support the strategic direction and key projects of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. This role will support development of long term and annual operating revenue plans, evaluate proposed strategic initiatives and capital investments, and measure executed revenue growth initiatives for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who will develop unbiased, holistic business insights and clearly articulate recommendations to help drive revenue growth and improve the Guest experience. The ideal candidate should be a solution oriented self-starter with superior analytical skills, who can leverage a highly complex data set and extract key learnings. She/he should also have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.


This role will have the opportunity to inform and shape the long term revenue plan, annual operating revenue plan, and capital investments. She/he will partner with many areas across the company including Merchandise Line of Business, Digital Line of Business, Operations, Finance, Pricing & Revenue Management, Industrial Engineering, and Consumer Insights to add value for our Guests and Shareholders.

Responsibilities

Analytics and Measurement

  • Support development of long-term plan and annual operating plan process for Walt Disney World merchandise, Disney Springs, and Imaging
  • Research, design, develop, and support models used to evaluate proposed business opportunities and to measure the impact of executed strategies and investments
  • Develop recommendations for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts senior executive review and approval that help prioritize and achieve business strategies and objectives
  • Leverage historical data, primary research findings, and other relevant information
  • Identify and apply best practices in the field of advanced analytics (statistics, research, etc.)

Communication and Strategic Decision Making

  • Collaborate and partner with other areas across the company
  • Exercise strong conceptual thinking skills – must be able to understand broad concepts, articulate linkages/gaps, and recommend tactics/strategies that enable a vision
  • Utilize strong communication and influencing skills – must be comfortable providing a point of view to a variety of audiences
  • Present and effectively communicate analytical conclusions to all stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of statistical or financial analysis and/or strategy development experience
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical modeling and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated technical ability to leverage data using spreadsheets and databases and open to learning new visualization and statistical analysis software
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a positive demeanor under tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts forecasting and planning processes
  • Experience/knowledge of Merchandise/Retail
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAS, Teradata, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent.
