The Enterprise Risk Management group has a wide variety of responsibilities focused on protecting the assets of The Walt Disney Company at the lowest possible long-term cost. We are looking for an intern who is self-motivated, interested in learning technical aspects of insurance, and willing to dig into the details. A Day in the Life…

The primary responsibilities of the intern is to enter insurance policy data and review and update existing data for accuracy and completeness. Activities include:

  • Data entry of historical policy records for acquired businesses into our Risk Management Information System (RMIS)
  • Import electronic policy files into our document management system utilizing established naming conventions
  • Review and update existing policy records to validate key information exists and is accurate
  • Collaborate with several risk management colleagues to understand policy language and translate it into technical data within the RMIS
  • Document and report progress

Basic Qualifications:

What we are looking for…

  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Basic understanding of an insurance policy
  • Comfort with systems and willingness to learn Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and Document Management System
  • Data entry
  • Attention to detail
  • Organization

Required Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
  • Risk Management
  • Business Administration

Additional Information:

  • The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2019 through August/September 2019
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship (typical schedule is 8:00AM – 5:00PM)
  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
