Job Description

The BI Analyst II – CVL is responsible for providing BI solutions that effectively monitor Commercial Lending business activity and facilitate strategic decision making.

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain accurate and effective data solutions such as list reports, crosstabs, charts, interactive dashboards and ETL processes using Cognos Analytics, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics and Informatica for users both within the department and across the company
  • Lead collaborative sessions with various business groups to gather and document BI project requirements
  • Work with various ITS and business functions such as Systems Integration, Data Warehouse and BI Administration to ensure that source system data is available for assigned projects
  • Properly document BI processes as they are moved into production
  • Continually seek opportunities to refine, improve, and automate data gathering and reporting
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting requests as needed
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Commercial Lending and source system processes and the associated impacts on data sources
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal Commercial Lending team members and various external departments
  • Act as a resource for less experienced Commercial Lending BI team members, providing guidance on more complex tasks
  • Seek training and mentoring from peers for cross-functional growth, learning, and career development
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all corporate policies and procedures


  • Strong understanding of relational database technology and design
  • Strong understanding of data visualization concepts
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of Cognos Report Studio/Cognos Analytics, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, Informatica, and Oracle SQL queries
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Word
  • Understanding of Consumer or Commercial Lending with emphasis on auto finance loan and lease product offerings to borrowers a plus
  • Understanding of Fiserv LOS and LeaseMaster a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or computer related field preferred


  • 3-5 years of experience in a reporting, BI, or ETL role preferred

Working Conditions

  • High energy and fast paced office environment subject to stressful conditions and required deadlines
  • Work schedule may include some nights or weekends as needed
