Job Description

The Workforce Management - Strategy & Analytics Manager works with a variety of stakeholders across WDW and within the Workforce Management organization to evaluate and deliver against Workforce Management’s top strategic priorities. Successful candidates will be strategic and analytical thinkers with business knowledge who demonstrate a passion for understanding and tackling new Operations labor frontiers.

This role combines technical, analytical and statistical skills and expertise with project management support and leadership to achieve strategic business objectives. The types of analytics required includes forecasting, optimization, regressions, and end-to-end impact calculations supporting strategic projects, ad hoc requests, what-if analyses, and methodology redesigns.

Responsibilities :

  • Effectively manages and leads large-scale WFM projects with cross-functional teams
  • Provides quick and reasonable approach and effort estimates during project planning
  • Conducts accurate analyses to assess business needs and impacts to frame business cases for assigned projects
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights into WDW Operations and identify opportunities
  • Outlines and clearly explains approach and methodology
  • Uses results of analysis to clearly lay out appropriate options and recommendations for decision making
  • Performs analyses to assess proposed analytical methodologies and strategic approaches
  • Solid understanding of the principles of workforce management operations and analytics
  • Supports teammates by sharing subject matter expertise and collaborating on analytics approach, design, and/or calculations
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion including inviting diverse perspectives, fostering an inclusive work environment and supporting workforce diversity

Basic Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods, optimization, simulation, forecasting, and analytics with real-world applications
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation and analysis tools
  • Demonstrated exemplary verbal and written communication skills inclusive of email, project documentation, and executive-level presentations
  • Ability to tell the story using data, and simplify complex analytics into recommendations that are easily understood for decision-making
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and knows when to seek out information or elevate issues to leadership
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines
  • Proven partnering and relationship-building skills, working collaboratively with other teams throughout the WDW organization to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong project planning, organization, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior Workforce Management experience
  • Expertise in Python, R, Tableau

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation, or related field

Preferred Education :

  • Advanced degree in related field
