OSI - 3823 Business Analyst Durham, North Carolina Requirements bull Compelling vision of what business and IS success looks like and the ability to communicate this widely. bull Ability to identify and resolve project impacts in a changing environment bull Be a self-starter. Proactively collaborate to understand goals from design and cross-functional teams. bull Strong communication skills and capabilities to clearly articulate challenges back to customer groups with strong problem-solving skill. bull Be comfortable with an iterative process in an agile environment. bull Ability to influence without authority and strong networking skills across cultures bull Be comfortable in learning the new business area and able to lead the analysis discussion with key stakeholder community. bull Strong personal presence and ability to influence at senior levels. bull Ability to challenge requests for new solutions to ensure investments are made in the right areas to drive strategic growth. bull Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating requirements documentation adjusting schedules when necessary determining daily priorities bull Ability to serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations Required skills bull At least 5 yearsrsquo experience in working on information systems andor information management processes associated with life science organizations. bull Experience in an analyst role for multiple projects using agile software development methodologies is a must. bull Experience working with a diverse range of technologies and platforms, especially with regards to Biotechnology (Plant Sciences), Plant Breeding, Plant Material Movement and Tracking would be desirable. bull Experience working with Electronic Lab notebooks bull Experience in Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level bull Ability to document existing business process, optimize, and deliver real business change to accompany software deliverables bull Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically and culturally diverse development effort bull Bachelorrsquos Degree in life Sciences or related field equivalent work experience will be considered Critical knowledge bull Good knowledge of business analysis methodologies and associated best practices with an analytical mind set. bull Knowledge of both waterfall and agile (scrumkanban) methodologies preferred.
