POSITION SUMMARY Provide AWS development support to the CENTAUR (Capabilities to enable Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Threat Awareness, Understanding, and Response) Program in support of the Joint Program Executive Office - Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Division (JPEO-CBRND). As a member of the CENTAUR team, the Cloud Architect will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of AWS infrastructure in support of a major network development and deployment project. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES Take ideas from concept to production using DevOps and Open Source tools. Assist in andor implement all aspects of the software development lifecycle requirements generation, design, code, verification and test, and maintenance. Design and generate code per software coding and design standards, applicable solution documentation, and established practices that are consistent with the overall system architecture. Work with other CENTAUR team members to ensure smooth operations of AWS, Microsoft, and other public and private Cloud hosted workload. Facilitate the automation of services into the CENTAUR and Customers Cloud. MATERIAL EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED Computer, Phone, and basic office materials. WORKING ENVIRONMENT bull Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more. bull Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine, and printer. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES No unique physical activities required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EducationCertifications Undergraduate Degree in a technical discipline highly desired. AWS DevOps Certification desired. Skills and Experience Experience and understanding with Cloud and Virtualization technologies. Experience with AWS Services and Automation. Well-versed in code and script (Python, JSON, SQL, MySQL). Experience working with developers and engineers. Able to juggle multiple tasks at once in a highly collaborative environment. Experience working in environments with a heavy security focus.
