We've got a great opportunity to be part of a start-up business with the resources and leadership of an experienced Product Development organization. We believe that people are our greatest asset, so the Altais Software Engineering team is absolutely critical to the success of the organization as a whole.As the Software Development and Integration Lead you will be reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, and you will be responsible for planning and executing full stack software development and integration with third party systems such as Electronic Medical Record systems and other healthcare related systems. You are primarily responsible for a small, agile group of four to five software engineers. This position is located in our San Francisco Montgomery Street location and will move to our brand-new Oakland City Center location in Spring 2020. About the Work Provides day-to-day direction and oversight for a team of Software Engineers. Works with other Sr Managers in IT and Business on common goals Coaches and mentors Software Engineering team members. Support development of a complex automated software build processes in support of ongoing deployment, maintenance and development software efforts for Altais Health Creates and maintains architecture and process standards that meet enterprise-level needs, including commercial package software and custom software. Designs and implements deployment strategies aligned with architecture standards. Understands tool and process integration across the SDLC. Designs and implements solutions that enable faster and more efficient software delivery for enterprise platforms. Able to solution with and influence technical architects and development managers. Applies advanced concepts and techniques to the most complex problems requiring use of ingenuity and creativity. Takes broad perspective to identify unique solutions. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Understands leading market trends and how to apply them to the Altais environment. Qualifications The Skills, Experience Education You Bring Requires a BS or MS in Computer Science (Master's preferred) or a related discipline, and a minimum of 10 years of software development experience. Requires current hands on experience with modern software development techniques including full stack development, Service Oriented Architecture and third-party integration techniques and technologies Experience with HTML, Java, Objective -C, node.js, React frameworks and tools required Experience with relational DBMS, SQL and NOSQL datastores, and associated big data technologies required Experience with healthcare integration protocols such as HL-7 or SMART on FHIR At least 3 years managing software development teams with direct supervisory experience Experience in new product, system or application development and delivery Experience integrating with enterprise systems or EMRs is highly desirable AWS development and implementation experience is highly desirable Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within an area. Has advanced knowledge and skills including technical or functional expertise, business acumen, financial analysis skills, risk management, delegation skills, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
