We seek an individual experienced in Business Intelligence (BI) and data analysis to drive the requirements and execution of our global initiatives in support of a worldwide business development and strategy team. We work in a startup atmosphere where individuals take ownership and have significant impact on the final product. The ideal candidate will be organized and reactive to the challenges of a fast paced environment with ability to handle ambiguity and build structure. This person will have proven experience with technology and strong business acumen, with the ability to evaluate, analyze, influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience in data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of finance and BI concepts.
  • Background in finance, accounting, operations, management consulting, or other high-performance organizations desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to quickly filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
  • Solid facilitation skills (requirement sessions; design meetings; progress and status meetings) to drive technical design discussions with engineers and proposing simple, creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assimilate and learn complex processes in a changing and dynamic work environment on a steep learning curve.
  • Experience in working in teams using Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, Essbase or other analytic tools with a drive to learn and discover new technologies. Scripting knowledge in Python/Shell is preferred.

In this role, you will:

  • Represent the business in all requirements, solution design, and project delivery conversations showcasing knowledge of business strategy and values/impacts.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams, translating business needs into analytical requirements.
  • Deep dive into various financial & hierarchical data points in different sets of hierarchies, understanding the nuances of how complex data behaves.
  • Analyze business and data requirements to propose and to design solutions.
  • Engage in immersive exploration of Apple’s finance datasets, applying various data discovery & modeling methodologies while working cross functionally with different data owners and analysts.
  • Proactively communicate data methodology and results to a diverse set of stakeholders concisely in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in an agile team with a ‘hands-on’ approach.
  • Clarify and validates user stories, as needed, to the business.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Managers to align on scope, priorities, and quality of project delivery.
  • Assist in production support and maintenance of executive level BI applications.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in a Business, Engineering or Computer Science field with quantitative emphasis desired

The ideal candidate for the position will have extensive experience working within global companies with a strong global approach and a solid understanding of cultural differences. Given the nature of the role, the ability to work independently when managing multiple priorities in an unstructured, global and virtual environment is critical. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working well with all levels of leadership and an ability to effectively engage stakeholders and customers to ensure that projects are delivered according to expectations on time and within budget.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $96,500 and $145,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
