Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented and proficient Staff Front End Engineer, ideally with substantial experience working with React, to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will assume the critical role of developing and sustaining intricate portal sites that power the observability platform at Tesla. This role involves a close-knit collaboration with designers, product managers, and back-end developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code that exhibits both efficiency and scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain complex portal sites using React and related technologies.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality.

What You’ll Bring

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work, preferably including complex portal sites.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Expertise in React, D3, and related technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Front End Engineer.
  • Great code review ethic and the desire to mentor promising junior engineers.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Excellent attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Expected Compensation

  • $104,000 - $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
