About the Position The Program Coordinator - Asset Management position will be filled at either the Assistant or Associate level and is under the supervision of the Principal - Asset Management.  The person in this position will support the transportation asset management program, as well as project-related database integration and analysis efforts, and manage other programs as necessary. The primary focus of the position will be on supporting the following: Data integration workflows and providing primary database administrative support for multiple projects; Enhancement and maintenance to the existing Regional Transit Capital Inventory, (a comprehensive regional database of the transit assets that are owned by transit agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area); Implementation of regional transit asset management systems in response to federal authorization; Coordination of asset management activities with the transit operators; and Other duties as may be assigned, to include local streets and roads and highway asset management programs as needed. SKILLS AND ABILITIES The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Ability to: Work with large and diverse data sets Work with a variety of spatial data formats, including ArcGIS common formats (shapefile, gdb, arcsde) and WKT/GeoJSON Communicate clearly and concisely (both orally and in writing) Create repeatable workflows for integrating disparate datasets/databases Prioritize and undertake multiple tasks Research and analyze complex and technical issues Document and translate technical analyses for policy makers and lay audiences, and apply data to practical uses for achieving broad policies Carry assignments through to completion, on time and with minimal supervision Represent MTC and develop consensus among local agencies Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations to a wide variety of audiences Work independently. (Applicants with a degree issued from an institution outside of the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by an academic accrediting service and provide proof of equivalency along with the application.).  A Master's degree is preferred. Experience: One year of experience in an appropriate field related to the area of assignment. What you'll be doing: Assist IAG senior management in the development and execution of a risk based audit plan and lead the full audit lifecycle (planning, testing of controls, and issue verification) for audit engagements covering the global general insurance value chain Effectively manage a team of analytics professionals and execute, within a global team environment, all aspects of audit activities in accordance with IAG's Global Audit Methodology and professional standards ensuring audit projects are delivered on time and staff is utilized efficiently Clearly and concisely communicate audit results or other key messages to a variety of constituents, including senior business and audit management, and regulators, and advise on emerging industry or regulatory topics/issues that may impact audit coverage Provide guidance and direction for audit staff to develop business and audit knowledge, and set clear expectations to auditors, provide timely and constructive feedback, encourage their career advancement, and set the tone by enthusiastically facilitating knowledge exchange/transfer Coordinate the development of IAG's standards for data analytics (documentation, archiving, technology and Data usage & security) Develop standard operating procedures for interaction between embedded data analytics teams and IAG's Automation Development team Contribute to the design of an effective data model and infrastructure to support stable, reusable access to data Identify audit automation and analytics opportunities, in conjunction with embedded data analytics leads, and work with IAG's Automation Development team to build and implement automated auditing, data analytics, and continuous control monitoring Work with IAG's Automation Development team to build and implement risk dashboards for General Insurance risks Work with other IAG audit automation and analytics tower leads to develop and provide training across IAG Contribute to the overall effectiveness and value of IAG by recommending and developing innovative approaches and solutions Some travel may be required What we're looking for: 15 years experience in audit and/or data analytics; experience in process and IT audit, audit automation, and continuous controls monitoring a plus Experience of managing teams of data analytics professionals, with strong people management skills to coordinate requirements and across multiple teams Detailed knowledge of data analytics, audit & process automation, and continuous controls monitoring Strong communication (oral and written), presentation, negotiation and project management skills Experience working in the financial services/insurance industries a plus Bachelor's or Master's Degree It has been and will continue to be the policy of American International Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
