The Tulane Human Research Protection Office (HRPO)administers the University's Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), which are charged with reviewing and monitoring human subjects research under the auspices of the University. The primary responsibilities of the Institutional Review Board Analyst include: conducting biomedical and social/behavioral research reviews of submissions to the HRPO; performing biomedical and social/behavioral research audits pursuant to the HRPP; conducting IRB and other compliance related research, training, development, and coordination, as well as providing administrative support to the IRB leadership and other support staff.
